Ancelotti is in Madrid and ready to start work

The Italian coach arrived in Barajas on a flight from Vancouver and will take the first training session of the pre-season tomorrow.

Carlo Ancelotti is in Madrid. The new Real Madrid coach, who officially starts the pre-season with the club on Monday arrived at Barajas airport just before midnight on a flight from Vancouver, where he has been on holiday with his partner. The Italian then went directly to Real Madrid’s training ground at Valdebebas.
In addition to the Italian his two assistants (in addition to Zidane) who he brings with him for the new era are also in the Spanish capital: Paul Clement and physical coach Giovanni Mauri. The latter has already spent time at Valdebebas to get used to the installationsforjanes.
On Monday Ancelotti and his team will get their tracksuits on to take the first training session of Real Madrid 2013/14. The Italian will meet the squad in person (the full squad less those players who were involved in the Confederations Cup, who are still on holiday), shake hands with the new signings (Illarramendi, Isco, Carvajal and Casemiro) and start dealing with ‘Operación Salida’ (the exit of players surplus to requirements) and the return to work of two players who are unhappy, but are still in the squad: Higuaín and Coentrao. The team will be training this week in Valdebebas before heading to Bournemouth in England for a friendly against a local side on Sunday, which will be the first friendly of the pre-season.
